Suffering From Knee Pain?

The knee is an interesting joint. In some ways, knees are the simplest joint in your body. All they are is a hinge, right?

They just extend and bend at the same time, they also have some rotational component to them in different positions. A lot of ligaments support the positions, and you have cartilage that can get injured. You’ve probably heard of anterior cruciate ligament damage or posterior cruciate ligament damage.

Anterior cruciate ligament is also known as your ACL. You’ve also got this patellar bone and a bursa, a sack of fluid moving around. The knee is actually a very complex joint and a lot of problems can take place in our knees.

There are a number of techniques here at Resilience Occupational Therapy that I employ to help people with their knee pain.

And helping your knee will help your ankle and your hip. And helping your ankle and hip will help your knee. So we look at overall posture and supports for your knee.
