Suffering From Foot Pain?
Let’s talk a little bit about foot pain and the structure of your feet. We tend to think about our cars a good amount. We know a good amount about that, we know about our bicycles. We tend not to think too much about our primary source of transportation – our feet.
We don’t think much about our feet until they start to hurt. I’d like to try to build as much resilience into people’s feet as possible; building up the strength and balance and tone in your foot.
I do this through manual therapy and exercises as well as awareness activities.
So one very quick lesson for today is the fact that we don’t just have one arch in each of our foot but we have four. We have two transverse arches going across our foot. So one this way and one this way. And then we have two horizontal arches coming across this way and this way.
The reality is you want to have an even balance between all of those arches and that will help you with your plantar fasciitis, your shin splints and your knee pain as well as Achilles tendon pain.
All those structures being balanced within your foot will give you the resilience to be able to move forward on your primary source of transportation, your feet.
If you’re experiencing foot pain like this, or even something completely different, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The sooner I hear from you, the sooner I can help you find relief.
