Resilience Radio

From an early age, I’ve been exposed to various modalities of healthcare and have always been curious about the different perspectives each has to offer. When I began working in healthcare professionally, I found that speaking with other clinicians both within my field and those working in other areas or within other frameworks, often expands my view of what health and wellbeing can look like.

It has given me a grounding in various modalities and comfort in speaking to different healthcare practitioners from researchers and medical doctors to Chinese Medicine practitioners, Reiki masters shamans, and psychotherapists. I’ve also found learning from those who serve marginalized communities has greatly informed my own work and continues to be a place of learning for me.

This engagement with other healthcare workers has been a constant reminder that there are many ways to approach wellness and resilience for individuals and communities. The practitioner, framework, or modality that works for one person might not be the right fit for someone else.  Every person has their own needs and there is no approach that is right for everyone all the time.

Resilience Radio, a weekly podcast, began as a way to continue these conversations and my own personal education while offering a place for listeners to hear about the rich tapestry of healthcare workers, perspectives, and resources available in Central Vermont and beyond.

My hope is for this to be an accessible place to learn about different practitioners, what it is they do, and perhaps some bits of advice that might resonate with listeners. Resilience Radio seeks to give us some more options for things we might do to support our own resilience and health individually as well as a community.

If you’re interested in hearing weekly interviews about health, wellness, and resilience from a wide variety of perspectives, I invite you to subscribe to the podcast and see if something might pique your interest. Join me as we learn together to support our own resilience and our collective well-being.
