Suffering From Head Pain or Neck Pain?
We often don’t realize that our head can weigh as much as 11 pounds. That’s a lot for our neck to be holding on to.
There is so much strain that our body can have if we have the very typical American posture of our heads being forward. So I try to give exercises and awareness so that you can bring your head back and release some of the muscles.
They’re just doing the best they can to keep your head upright, get them into a little bit of a more comfortable position. So that 11 pound bowling ball can be positioned such that it’s easier to move around.
You might have neck pain because of whiplash from a car accident, moving that bowling ball real fast can cause some strains to your muscles.
There’s a myriad of reasons why your head might hurt. But I like to help create overall balance to exercises and stretches. Some mindfulness activities as well as a lot of manual therapy to just release the tension in your neck.
